Quark’s story
An affectionate cat who still liked to remind the others who was in charge.
In his GoFundMe, Sean describes Quark as a much-loved part of the family. Even during his illness, Quark sometimes purred, checked on the other cats, and found a little energy to assert his place among them. Sean spent days beside him, helping him eat and drink.
At 14, Quark became increasingly weak and lost his appetite and coordination. After repeated veterinary visits and supportive care, he was referred to a neurologist to investigate what was happening. Sean started the fundraiser to help cover veterinary visits, diagnostic testing, medication, and specialist care.
Quark has since passed away. This fundraiser remembers him and helps cover his care and aftercare costs.
Story summarized from Sean’s original GoFundMe. Its title, “Help Quark Get Neurology Care,” reflects why the fundraiser began.
Support helps repay the loan for Quark’s MRI and hospitalization, and reimburse expenses already paid for hospital stays, vet visits, medicine, and cremation. His care and aftercare costs total roughly $10,000–$12,000.

A few useful details
Where does my donation go?
The donation button takes you to Sean Arenas’s fundraiser on GoFundMe. Donations there help with Quark’s care and aftercare costs. Team Quark merchandise is purchased separately through Minty Tees.
How much does a merchandise purchase contribute?
Part of every Team Quark sale goes to Quark’s fundraiser. This applies to the classic tee, women’s tee, unisex tank, women’s tank, and hoodie, including their available sizes and colors. The contribution goes toward Quark’s care and aftercare costs separately from GoFundMe; it is not a donation into his GoFundMe campaign. It helps cover the loan still being repaid and expenses already paid. To donate through GoFundMe instead, use the donation button.
