Help My Pet for Pet Professionals & Community Partners

For Pet Professionals & Community Partners

Give your clients a useful next step.

Help My Pet is a free guide to care, costs, food and ongoing pet support. Share it with a client, adopter or family who needs somewhere useful to turn. Resource pages explain who an option serves, important requirements and how to take the next step.

Free to browse and share. No account or purchase required. Resource pages cite sources and show review dates. Medical guidance stays with the family’s veterinary team.

Find help for a specific client · How we check resources

For veterinary and rehabilitation teams, shelters and rescues, trainers, groomers, sitters, pet-food programs and other community services. Help My Pet is an independent resource project from Minty Tees.

Add one useful link to what you already send

Choose the moment that fits your work. You can share the general guide or a resource page that matches the family’s situation.

Care and recovery instructionsVeterinary and rehabilitation teams: add the guide to discharge or home-care emails when families need practical support alongside the treatment plan.
Adoption and owner-support packetsShelters and rescues: include a link or the QR handout with adoption materials, food assistance or conversations about keeping a pet at home.
Everyday client follow-upsTrainers, groomers and sitters: share it when a family mentions difficulty finding care, paying costs or keeping up with food and supplies.
Community resource materialsFood programs and community teams: add the short referral line to a handout, welcome email or resource list.

Share the public link; families can explore privately. You do not need to collect or send us their medical records, financial information or contact details.

What does the family need?

Choose a situation, check the resource’s service area and requirements, then share that page with the family. Some programs need the clinic to apply; we call that out before a client tries.

More than a charity list

A long list of organizations can still leave a family doing hours of research during a crisis. Help My Pet tries to put the decision-making information before the link.

Fit

Geography, species, diagnosis, income or other important limits when we can verify them.

Next step

Whether the family applies, the veterinary team acts, or the practice must participate first.

Current context

Review dates, known pauses or availability limits, and unanswered questions instead of assuming every listing is usable today.

We also include payment arrangements, fundraising and practical support because a grant is not always the fastest or most realistic path.

Why the next step matters

Some programs require the veterinary team to apply; others accept pet-owner applications. Help My Pet calls that out before a family spends time on the wrong path. For example, AVMF REACH starts with the veterinary team, while Pet Help Finder is a tool the family can use directly.

Help My Pet does not diagnose, arrange treatment or guarantee funding, appointments or services. Sharing the guide does not imply your organization endorses every resource. For urgent concerns, direct families to their veterinarian or an emergency veterinary hospital. Veterinary teams should follow their usual triage process.

What your team can rely on

Detailed resource pages cite sources and show review information. Confirmed limits are distinguished from unanswered questions. Review dates are not live availability guarantees, and a bounced email alone is not treated as proof a provider has closed.

Directory inclusion is based on usefulness to pet families and the information we can verify. There is no listing fee, and inclusion does not depend on sharing Help My Pet.

Fundraising merchandise is available too

For families with time to run a campaign, Minty Tees can create merchandise featuring their pet and handle printing and shipping. It is optional and not intended for bills that must be paid immediately. See how pet merchandise fundraising works →
