VetBilling

← Ways to pay for care

Installment payment plans arranged through participating veterinary practices. VetBilling is not a lender, credit card or grant program.

Provider Confirmed · September 25, 2026

Who it may fit

VetBilling may be useful when you can pay a veterinary bill over time but cannot cover the full amount up front, and the veterinary practice participates and is willing to offer the plan.

It does not provide cash or a credit line that you can take to a different hospital.

The key requirement

Your veterinary practice must participate and offer VetBilling. A pet owner cannot independently obtain a VetBilling plan and then take it to any hospital.

Emergency and specialty care

VetBilling co-founder Suzanne Cannon directly told Help My Pet that relatively few emergency and specialty hospitals currently participate. If you are facing specialty or emergency treatment, ask the hospital before relying on VetBilling as part of your payment plan.

How it works

The participating veterinary practice decides whether to offer and approve the arrangement and sets up the plan. Ask for the deposit, payment schedule, total repayment and any fees before agreeing.

Find or ask a clinic

Search VetBilling’s public clinic directory, but remember that the directory is optional and may be incomplete. You can also ask your veterinary practice directly whether it participates or would consider enrolling.
